The wine year 2017-2018 was marked by a very dry winter and a wet and cold spring. The number of hours of heat below the average in recent years has led to a significant delay in the vine cycle resulting in an exceptionally late and condensed harvest. At the beginning of August, there was a heat wave with maximum temperatures reaching 44°C, which associated with winds, and very low relative humidity, caused scalding with very significant losses. After the heat wave at the beginning of the month, temperatures dropped considerably providing a slow and gradual maturation. The harvest, starting in September, ran with mild temperatures and almost no record of precipitation, allowing to wait for the ideal maturation point. In qualitative terms, white wines show good aromatic intensity, persistence in the mouth. The red wines show deep colors, concentration and firm but velvety tannins, promising good potential for aged.
