Winemaking in cement vats. Grapes should not be distemmed. 1 day of pre-fermentative maceration and 2 days of fermentation. Harvest is a single harvest port, aged in oak barrels for at least seven years and bottled on demand. The Baron de Vilar Colheitas was carefully selected and matured in seasoned oak barrels to produce a rich sourness with the best balance and elegance of the ancient tawnies.
It is an excellent accompaniment of desserts as well as the end of a meal. It is a great pair for Roquefort, fruit pie, cakes, chocolates, nuts, crème brûlée or as digestive with cigars.
